CHRISTINE PELOSI, JULIA LOUIS-DREYFUS, JANE FONDA ENDORSE PROPOSITION 30
Progressive Climate Champions Join California Democratic Party, Environmental, Labor Groups in Supporting Clean Air Measure on California’s November Ballot
SACRAMENTO – Three well-known progressive climate champions, Christine Pelosi as well as actors Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Jane Fonda, have endorsed Proposition 30, the November ballot measure to clean California’s air, help put more electric vehicles on the road, and reduce wildfires.
Posting on social media, Pelosi wrote “Our kids are demanding climate action – and if we want to meet our clean energy targets, California must pass #Prop30. I’m proud to join @CA_Dem, @ClimateVotersCA, @CALFIREL2881, @LungAssociation and millions of Californians voting for our kids and for our climate: #YesOn30.”
Pelosi is a member of the Democratic National Committee and former Women’s Caucus Chair of the California Democratic Party.
Meanwhile Julia-Louis Dreyfus tweeted: “Spread the word, California! We have a historic opportunity this November to: deliver bold climate action, protect clean air, advance environmental justice. Please vote YES on Prop 30 by November 8th. #YESonProp30.”
On Tuesday, CalMatters reported actor and climate activist Jane Fonda has endorsed Proposition 30. With a headline of “Jane Fonda Blasts Wealthy Prop 30 Foes,” Fonda told CalMatters.“People who would choose to get rich and stay rich, as opposed to helping create a livable future, have to really seriously examine their priorities.”
Proposition 30 has been endorsed by the California Democratic Party, the Courage Campaign, Climate Action Campaign, and dozens of other environmental and progressive groups.
