We need to act now
to Fight and Prevent
Wildfires

Climate-driven wildfires are devastating California, costing lives, destroying property and hurting our economy.

Our state now has the worst air quality in the nation, posing a serious public health threat to more than 38 million Californians, with the risk particularly acute for seniors, kids and pregnant women.

We must do more to fight and prevent wildfires.

The Clean Air Initiative provides funding for fighting and preventing wildfires, and for community resilience programs to create more defensible space and protect more homes and businesses - all by increasing the tax on income over $2 million - the wealthiest .1% of Californians.

Fewer wildfires means cleaner air and a safer, healthier California for future generations.
